The Chehaw Trail Crew has been designed to help keep the trails at Chehaw safe and ready for all users at the Park. This is very important to Chehaw, so as a group we need to come together to accomplish this goal.
What is the role of the monthly trail crew?
- to have someone from the crew check the trail weekly to make sure that all is well on the trail. (if possible do this mid to late in the week to make sure that the trail is good to go for the weekend)
- look for down trees, debris, etc...
- clean-up on site if possible (if not then submit a trail assessment via the SGC or PCP website)
- communicate the need for trail maintenance
What the monthly trail crew is NOT responsible for?
- building new trail
- doing major trail maintenance to existing trail
Please note: Building new trail and doing major maintenance to existing trail will be done in a work party format. A plan will be made for the trail building or maintenance and will be approved by Chehaw (land manager) and members of the trail crew before action will be taken.
